On the highest mountain, in the coziest cave, lived a little dragon named Flicker.
He had soaked in a warm mud bath, brushed all eighty of his teeth, and put on his star pajamas. Mama Dragon tucked him in and whispered:
"Shhh... Fold up your wings, curl up your tail,
soft as a cloud and slow as a snail.
Heavy your eyes and heavy your head –
goodnight, little dragon, all snug in your bed."
But Flicker opened one eye. "Just ONE more thing!"
How the music works
Every few pages, the story pauses for a music moment that fits the scene: a lullaby, a chase, a spooky tune, a victory march. Your child plays a short piece on their own instrument (piano or keyboard, guitar, ukulele, recorder, harmonica, tongue drum, drums or darbuka) at exactly their level, rates how it went, and the next pieces adjust. Goodnight, Flicker! has 5 music moments across 12 pages.
