Knock gently!
Chapter 1: A Morning Full of Frogs

Wonky Owl Tower is the wonkiest school of magic in the whole world. It leans so much that the soup in the dining hall slides to one side of the bowl, and the candles float in the air just so they won't tip over.

On the front door hangs a brass knocker shaped like an owl. His name is Tapley.
"Knock gently!" he yells at everyone who comes. "I'm a head, not a drum!"

Pippa Pepper was in her first year at the Tower. She couldn't even float a feather yet, but she noticed everything. Every. Single. Thing.

How the music works

Every few pages, the story pauses for a music moment that fits the scene: a lullaby, a chase, a spooky tune, a victory march. Your child plays a short piece on their own instrument (piano or keyboard, guitar, ukulele, recorder, harmonica, tongue drum, drums or darbuka) at exactly their level, rates how it went, and the next pieces adjust. The Case of the Sneezing Wands has 10 music moments across 21 pages.
